The software can be installed on-premise on your own server, or used as a cloud solution where you only install a small program that sends files for redaction in the cloud.
Yes, when installed on-premise. The algorithm for recognising sensitive information is trained in advance, so it knows how to find it in new documents. When updates are available, our consultants update the software. No usage data of any kind is transferred.
No, no usage data is sent. AnteRedact is on-premise software that lives on your server. The recognition algorithm is trained in advance. When the software needs updating, our consultants can log in via remote access if you have granted permission.
Not if you use the solution on-premise. No usage data is transferred, so no data processing agreement is needed. Our consultancy agreement, which gives our developers access for installation and updates, does not require one either. If you use the cloud model, a data processing agreement is signed. Note that personal data is only stored during processing.
If you wish, you can give our consultants read access so Ante can observe any errors and improve the solution for the next update. This happens without transferring your data.
Yes, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is built in and identifies the text in scanned documents without an embedded text layer.
Yes, the redaction is irreversible. AnteRedact removes both the visible text on the page and the underlying text layer that can be selected and searched. It is impossible to recover the original information.
It uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, a field of AI for processing text. Ante has “trained” an algorithm to understand how to find sensitive information in documents it has never seen before.
